I remember when this came out for the first time. I never imagined it would become what we know it as today.

This brings back memories.
Clever ending.
From burned drumsticks on the grill to badly written, melodramatic bits for a writing class to baby steps in pixel art on my profile, I can tell you everything is learned in slowly. This is a start.
Keep going, mate.
I still remember this and the sequels. I remember at the time it stood out because concurrently, escape games like "trapped" or "escape the (fill in here)" were all the rage.
Relaxing game and a sweet story.
Good job.
If you ever wanted to expand it, I might suggest making the interactions build on each other to solve the issues each character is facing.
ex. The dog digs the guy out of the sand.
That would make for a neat little puzzle game.
Welcome to Newgrounds and I hope you enjoy your new practice in designing video games!
For some reason, I'm having trouble raising the dragons after befriending the large one, whom I have named Ben-Logi. Is this not part of the demo here?
Fun game, btw. I've done a few playthroughs, going either east or west.
You can raise dragons even if you befriend the large one - simply place a baby dragon in the dragon cave (you should know how to raise baby dragons if you befriended the large dragon), and then you'll have options to evolve it into a young dragon and adult dragon. It does require a fire gem, but you learn how to create those as part of the questlines on the first magic island (to the east), which is also in the demo.
Cute.
The vertigo whenever it's done is fun.
Waaagh! Waz dis? A grot bein good fur sumthin 'sides feedin squigs?
I dun lost me mind!
A refugee from the decline of Kongregate.
Big fan of strategy games.
Like writing, especially ghost stories.
Experimenting with simple pixel art/animation and 8bit music. Nothing major yet.
