What system did you use to make this a video?

thegamesgames responds:

I made the animation loop in Scratch
and used Scratch addons' record project feature :)

I have no pity. The man is a T-Rex, and he either lets himself be bullied by or relies on stealing from a raptor, while letting a Triceratops fight his battles.

It is just that he looses the chips, and further, not even Rex from SXR123 would fight him.

Nice. What did you use to animate this?

I remember when this came out for the first time. I never imagined it would become what we know it as today.

This brings back memories.

Clever ending.

From burned drumsticks on the grill to badly written, melodramatic bits for a writing class to baby steps in pixel art on my profile, I can tell you everything is learned in slowly. This is a start.

Keep going, mate.

Sweet mama from Yokohama, this is awesome!

Something about the toon makes me think of those old pixel flying games where you were dodging attacks from all kinds of wacky enemies. You know the ones: where you caught an upgrade in midair and suddenly you were going from single shot to double shot to wide shots, energy pulses, a ten second invulnerability, all while your opponents are either swarming you or that one giant boss is sending more missiles then every dogfight in history your way.

Yee Whoo!

Fun fact: the moon and star symbol was actually applied to Constantinople as far back as antiquity when it was named Byzantium. My understanding (I could be wrong) was that it was associated with the popular cult of Diana.

It stayed with the city even after it became Constantinople, center of the Eastern Orthodox Christian faith, and later was applied to the Ottoman empire and Islamic world, hence the presence of the Moon and Star in so much Islamic iconography and flags today.

Again, that's the history as I learned it, and it was a brief one from the otherwise in-depth Constantinople episode of "Fall of Civilizations" (good History podcast on YT, btw). If anyone a dispute regarding this feel free to mention it.

Cherry-Garnet responds:

^u^; I didn't know that. I just wanted to make a cool symbol for one of my story ideas.

I think I remember someone noting it would be hilarious if Ea-Nasir was actually a pretty good businessman, but this letter reflected one screw-up or one time when he let the quality slide, and now that's all he's known for.

I wonder whether her friends will approve of her dressing up as someone who keeps a unicorn-eating lazer-shooting dinosaur rather than someone who fights beside them to...slay dragons...yea I don't think she could win in that conversation no matter what.

And mama mia, typing that made me feel like a kid again.

Earthquake87 responds:

Wait the laser shooting dinosaur eats unicorns? Must've missed that part.

A refugee from the decline of Kongregate.
Big fan of strategy games.
Like writing, especially ghost stories.
Experimenting with simple pixel art/animation and 8bit music. Nothing major yet.
